On-a-date engagement shoots really bring out the most natural in a couple, especially when it seems like they don’t even know that a camera is around — such as in this beautifully-photographed “date afternoon / night” e-session. Andrea and Israel often go to the OC Mix to dine, wine, and chill so of course it was the perfect spot for their e-shoot. Drexelle Park of D. Park Photography was on hand to capture them at their sweetest unobtrusively and now here is the result. Enjoy!
About the e-session and the couple in the beautiful Andrea’s own words:
The session took place at The OC Mix in Costa Mesa, our favorite place to hang out. We love the vibe there because it’s modern, rustic, hip without being pretentious. This is where we had our 2nd date (our 1st date was at The Lab). We had gelato and sat on one of their couches and talked for hours. (Actually, every date we had lasted 5-6 hours). Since then, we enjoy going there for just about anything… Coffee at Portola Lab; dessert waffles and beer at Iron Press; wine, olive oil and cheese at the Wine Bar; raw oysters and clam chowder at Shucked; and the list goes on and on. We can’t get enough of that place as you can see.

As cheesy as it sounds, Israel and I really enjoy spending time together. We’ve been almost inseparable since we met. We have so much in common, that to do those things together makes it all that much better, whether we are hiking, sipping coffee/tea al fresco, cooking a meal together. We have fun together. With all of our recent focus being on the wedding and wedding planning, we have to set aside date nights to destress and get back to our quality time together.
It has gotten a little stressful with planning all of the little wedding details, but Israel truly is my rock. He helps keep me grounded and sane when my nerves get the best of me. He has definitely been hands-on during this process, for which I am extremely grateful. He makes me a better person and still want to strive to be even better. I found my soulmate and it’s such an amazing feeling. <3
